Notes from the author:

Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015. Mary Ann will read short stories from her collection.  She will also introduce “the endless sentence” game to the children.  Grandparents will accompany the children at this event, and will take part in the “endless sentence game”.    The event will be held at the Senior Center from 10:00 AM – 12:00PM.  Refreshments will be served.  Books may be purchased.


In This World Do I See,  all 4 books are written in the style of a diary of a young 
girl.  In  Book 1, Eliza is 10 yrs. old, and her diary is on a 10 yr. old level.  The font used is
Comic Sans mostly because of the small letter “a”.  I use that font though out the series. 
Book 1 has 104 pages with pictures

 
Book 2, Eliza is about 12 years old.  She is growing and interested in all kinds of stuff.  There are 
128 pages and pictures…..more mature vocabulary and thoughts.
 
Book 3 has 200 pages with pictures.  Eliza now is 14 yrs. old.  She’s interested in travel, getting
good grades and sports.  
 
Book 4 is in “progress”.  Eliza is now interested in her background…….where did her 
ancestors come from…...and why.  Lots of history.    


Smokey, read every one of them.  How exciting!  Keep them coming.  I hear you will be teaching a writing course…….
